Beautiful Maternity session at Lake Lanier


We had a thunderstorm in the forecast that evening, and honestly, I was watching the weather closely, going back and forth on what to do. Normally, a thunderstorm warning would be enough to reschedule—but not this time. My amazing clients had driven two hours just to get to our session, and we decided to go for it, rain or shine.


And I’m so glad we did.


To our surprise, it didn’t rain at all. In fact, the storm never came—and what we got instead was even better.

As the sun began to set, the sky opened up with the most beautiful golden light, wrapping everything in a warm, magical glow.

It was absolutely perfect.


This is one of those reminders that the weather in Georgia can be unpredictable.

It can look stormy one moment and turn into the prettiest evening the next.

It keeps us on our toes, but it also gives us these unexpected gifts.

Sometimes, you just have to be flexible, trust the process, and show up.


Nature has a funny way of surprising us with beauty when we least expect it.

So if you're ever unsure—worried about a cloudy sky or a sketchy forecast—just know that sometimes, the best moments come when you take the chance anyway.
